The Akto API Security Platform unifies API discovery, security testing, posture management, and runtime protection. It ingests traffic from gateways, load balancers, and other sources to build a real-time API inventory, classifying sensitive data and uncovering shadow APIs. On top of this inventory, Akto runs extensive security tests—including OWASP API Top 10 and custom scenarios—either in CI/CD or against live environments. Runtime components detect and block attacks, while dashboards show risk posture, misconfigurations, and remediation priorities for each API.
